About The Author
Who is she, anyway?
Wendy Aguiar is a middle school language arts teacher with fifteen years of experience in her field. In 2016, she was honored as Teacher of the Year during a very stormy season in her life. This devotional is her first book, yet it was honored as Category Finalist for COVID-19 Pandemic Books in the Next Generation Indie Book Awards for 2021. "Storm Chasers" resonates with a wide audience for its authenticity and relevance. Wendy considers herself to be a “storm expert” based on personal encounters with storms of adversity that could have shipwrecked her life. Wendy’s lifelong dream of publishing a book came to fruition when the COVID-19 pandemic prompted deep reflection. The author was recognized in 2005 by Nova Southeastern University with the distinction of Outstanding Student Graduate within the Division of Humanities. She continued working full-time and raising her son as a single parent when she returned to school, earning her master’s degree in Reading Education in 2008. She currently enjoys writing songs, poetry and inspirational anecdotes. Some of her current (sans pen) hobbies include singing, sampling authentic Mexican food and shopping. Wendy resides with her family in sunny South Florida where she loves chasing the perfect sunset. Above all, this promising author is a Christian who believes that faith is the key to conquering every storm.
